One of my favorite things about this time of year is the arrival of a herd of wild Shetland ponies. They are brought to a nature reserve very close to our house, and it is so lovely to bike over to them, and watch them graze. Last year, a foal was a new addition to the herd, and now, he is a bit bigger, but still very cute, and loves to frolic with the other youngsters. You can see them galloping, kicking and tossing their heads, play fighting and generally having a good time. It is incredible to have these wild animals so close by, and they love the attention of having you there, watching them.
Connecting with wild animals is always incredible, and at a time when we could all use a little extra cheer and happiness, these sweet ponies really did brighten my winter.
Wishing everyone a lovely Christmas and New Year, I know it looks very different this year, but hopefully 2021 will be a brighter one for all of us xxx

Yes. Nature and animals are the best thing for supporting and comforting humans at this point. For a little while out there one can forgot all miseries this year brought upon the whole world. Glad you had that opportunity.
Let’s hope the New Year and this festive season brings lot of cheerful happy days for the world to Laugh and be Merry and Making Travel plans.
